From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and fantastic service from the staff. The attention to detail in the rooms was impeccable - especially the luxurious feather top beds that made for a great night's sleep. We couldn't get enough of the lovely views from the large windows, overlooking the breathtaking mountain range. And let's not forget the breakfast - the spread was incredible, and the cappuccino was the perfect way to start our day.
All was perfect, couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Varied and delicious breakfast. Warm hosts who had great tips for activities. Lovingly and luxuriously furnished lodge with many amenities such as fireplace room, sauna and outdoor hot tube. Underfloor heating in the bathroom is very pleasant.

Anything. The best and most sympathetic hosts. Great hand for little things. Great and above all healthy breakfast. Everything self and freshly made. In the afternoon homemade cakes and biscuits. As nice as at home. Great tips for trips. . It was more than difficult to leave the lodge. . 10 points in the rating are much too low. 100 points would have to be awarded for Lorie and Ken and their lodge.
Nothing. Nothing.

Incredible hosts, always kind and helpful. Comfortable beds made my own bed seem inadequate. Enjoyed the delicious homemade breakfast and lunch options. the relaxed atmosphere and added bonuses like the hot tub, sauna, and pool tables were great.
We were very disappointed with this accommodation. We were not warned that everything in the area would be closed during our stay.

I had the most wonderful welcome at Vagabond Lodge At Kicking Horse. Lori and Jim went above and beyond to make my stay amazing. The room had a great balcony and the breakfasts were fabulous. The lodge felt like a home away from home. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nestled in the heart of a lovely area, this log lodge is just down the hill from the main gondola. the rooms are large, beautiful, and comfortable, with wonderful beds and endless hot water. Breakfast is hearty, fresh, and homemade. Guests can also enjoy tea, coffee, and fruit all day long, and relax in the comfortable lounge with a log fire, or in the hot tub with a mountain view. the hosts are welcoming and helpful with advice on ski routes and restaurants, and the ski storage and drying room is very convenient.
It seems that the lodge doesn't have its own liquor license and guests are encouraged to bring their own wine or liquor or to offer a donation for anything consumed from the fridge.

The Vagabond Lodge is a hidden gem nestled on top of a mountain, just a short drive from Golden. The breathtaking views from the large windows in the rooms are absolutely stunning, making it the perfect place to unwind and take in the natural beauty. The attention to detail in the room decor, like the feather top bed mentioned by a previous guest, adds an extra touch of luxury and comfort. The friendly and attentive staff, exemplified by Ken and Lori, go above and beyond to ensure a delightful stay. The breakfasts, as noted by another reviewer, are a highlight with their homemade scones and cakes, and let's not forget the wonderful cappuccinos that are included!
All was spot on, nothing to fault.

Rustic charm and cozy atmosphere made for a romantic and relaxing escape. the lodge was conveniently located near the ski lift and walking distance to dining options and a bar. the lodge owners provided excellent recommendations for activities in the area and even provided home-cooked breakfast and lunch.
The lodge's location near the main road made for a noisy and busy environment. the decor could use some updating and modern touches as it felt a bit outdated.
